Tuesdays
Men’s Bible Study
7:00 A.M. | Zoom Meeting
This Bible study, comprised of approximately 40 men of varying ages and backgrounds meets weekly and is led by The Rev. Sandra Randleman. Sandra leads this group in a continued study of the book of Exodus and the pilgrimage of the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt to the Promised Land. It is a story of God’s faithfulness to His covenant promises despite the Israelites continuing failure to honor God and respond with gratitude to God’s provision of all that they need and so much more. The trek through the wilderness is a journey of spiritual formation. In the story of the Israelites, we may see our own spiritual journeys from a state of fear and bondage to a new life that is abundant and filled with gratitude for God’s guidance and our many blessings.

Contemplative Prayer
Temporarily suspended.
Join The Rev. Sandra Randleman for a study of contemplative prayer. We engage in a time of lectio divina followed by contemplative prayer. Everyone is welcome! We are all beginners and instructions are provided!
The only thing to seek in contemplative prayer is God; and we seek Him successfully when we realize that we cannot find Him unless He shows Himself to us, and yet at the same time that He would not have inspired us to seek Him unless we had already found Him.”

Communities of Belonging Gatherings
Classes meet Sunday through Thursday at various times via Zoom Meetings.
Finding community is an integral part of growing in faith, and the Communities of Belonging initiative hopes to provide opportunities for us to build new relationships. Life has a way of pulling us in many directions, and we recognize the desire to connect beyond just Sunday mornings. We are excited about this season in our church as we explore together how every member can be the connected body of Christ.
Fall 2020 Communities of Belonging
This fall, we will begin a 7-week Communities of Belonging program that commences the week of October 4 and runs until the week before Thanksgiving. Using the book Glittering Vices: A New Look at the Seven Deadly Sins and Their Remedies by Rebecca DeYoung as a template, pastoral staff with create video content to be used at the beginning of each COB session (5-6 minutes). Groups will then have time to discuss the materials for that week using the video as a jumping off point and referring to discussion questions provided.
For more information about our Communities of Belonging, please visit here. If you’re interested in being a part of a COB for this study, please reach out to Rev. Sarah Bird at [email protected].
Thursdays
Thursday Morning Women’s Bible Study
9:00 A.M. | Zoom Meeting
This study, led by The Rev. Sandra Randleman, meets weekly. We are studying the story of Jesus from the perspective of the four Gospels. We will use “parallel” Bibles to study the text of each Gospel and how the teachings and life of Jesus are presented in each of the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. We hope to learn more about the person of Jesus and what He taught His disciples through His words and actions. The participants in this study are a warm and welcoming group of women who enjoy our time together, praying, studying the Bible and engaging in some mission projects as well. All women are welcome!

ME Mornings: A Mary and Elizabeth Ministry
Are you a mom with young children, under the age of 6? Join with other moms for a morning of tending, nourishing and sharing your soul. While moms enjoy time with one another, the children will receive loving care in our nursery. Toddlers and preschool ages will have their own Bible study!
We encourage moms to attend whenever they can! We understand that life with a little one is filled with surprises that often interrupt the best laid plans. Each ME Morning is unique — if you miss one, there is nothing to “catch up on.” We offer a variety of topics, activities, etc. throughout the year, ranging from Bible studies to guest speakers to outings and serving opportunities.
Contact: Deb O’Brien or Jessie Yancey for more information about the ME Mornings program.
Nursery questions can be directed to Karen Fitts.
Thursday Night Study with Stuart Gordon
