First Presbyterian Church offers several Sunday School classes geared directly toward Young Adults. All classes begin at 9:45 A.M. Check them out below!
Young Adult Sunday School: This team of professional adults from several walks of life will lead the class encouraging and supporting young adults in their Christian walks. This Fall we will study Philip Yancey’s book, Vanishing Grace: Whatever Happened to the Good News? Research show that favorable opinions of Christians have plummeted drastically since the mid-90s, yet people everywhere still thirst for grace. We’ll examine the questions “How Christians present truly Good News amid the changing landscapes of our time?” and “How can we communicate faith in an appealing way to future generations?” (We meet in the the Oak Hill School L-Wing, L-201)
Family Fellowship: Allen and Lindsay Callison and Keats and Phillip Leach will facilitate this biblically focused class for singles and couples under 40 who wish to explore and understand God’s intent for their lives through the weekly study of scripture. The class will utilize study guides to collaboratively study the book of Hebrews and will choose future books based upon the class’s need and wants. (We meet in the Oak Hill School L-Wing, L-203.)
If you are a single, newly married or a young parent, we are always looking for better ways to meet you where you are in your journey. We are always dreaming about additional Sunday School opportunities for our young adults, so please contact Ashley Higgins, Director of Young Adult Ministry, at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any ideas.
