Young Adult Classes

First Presbyterian Church offers several Sunday School classes geared directly toward Young Adults. All classes begin at 9:45 A.M. Check them out below!

Young Adult Sunday School: This class is led by a team of professional adults from several walks of life and encourages and supports young adults in their Christian walks. The class is discussion-style, based on the sermon scripture(s) for that week. We begin the conversation at 10:00. (We meet in the the Oak Hill School L-Wing, L-201)

College Sunday School Class: Our college students, led by Josh Rodriguez, gather for Bible study and discussion each Sunday. This summer the class will be reading through Rob Bell’s newest book, What is the Bible?: How an Ancient Library of Letters, Poems and Stories Can Transform the Way You Think and Feel About Everything. All college-age young adults are welcome! (We meet in the Oak Hill School L-Wing, L-204.)

Summer Sunday School Class: For Sunday School classes who take a break in the summer we offer this great Sunday morning opportunity. The discussion based class, facilitated by Julia Wilk, will dig into Paul’s short letters to Timothy. Sunday School teachers on break, especially children’s and youth volunteers, are welcomed!  (We meet in Vance Hall, MW-222.)

If you are a single, newly married or a young parent, we are always looking for better ways to meet you where you are in your journey. We are always dreaming about additional Sunday School opportunities for our young adults, so please contact Ashley Higgins, Director of Young Adult Ministry, at ahiggins@fpcnashville.org if you have any ideas.
