Adult Education

Jesus calls his disciples to love the Lord our God with heart, soul, mind, and strength. Presbyterians never have been shy about claiming that command, especially the part about loving God with our minds. You see it in our congregation’s mission statement:

“To know Christ and to make him known, and to exhibit his love in worship, education, and service.”

At First Presbyterian Church we strive to offer educational opportunities for adults to love the Lord with all their minds – on Sundays,  Wednesdays and almost every day of the week. Our class options vary, so adults may choose between lectures and discussions; large groups and small; age-specific and inter-generational classes; married couples, singles and “anyone”; peer-led and professionally led. The one common denominator is our hope that every adult finds involvement in learning that is interesting and vital, making growth in faith a reality.

For questions about any of our Adult Education offerings please contact Associate Pastor Stuart Gordon at sgordon@fpcnashville.org for assistance.
